Theo started at Africa Healthcare Network as a registered dialysis nurse and has taken on more responsibilities over time.
Before joining AHN, Theophile Nishimwe volunteered with Team Heart, Rwanda, an American team which offers cardiac surgery to Rwandese. In this role, he managed critically ill patients and worked with an expert medical team from Bringham women hospital.
He started at AHN in 2015, working as a renal nurse and became head of nursing in 2016 at a newly opened AHN dialysis center at Gisenyi hospital. Currently, he is Head of Nursing and Quality Assurance; where he is responsible for clinical activities and AKI and CKD patient monitoring across the country.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Sciences.
