As CEO, Matt is responsible for AHN’s existing operations across Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Ghana, as well as future expansion across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Matt has 20 years of healthcare experience spanning 50+ countries globally, mostly within the developing world. Prior to joining AHN, Matt spent eight years at DaVita, where he held a number of executive roles including CEO of DaVita Malaysia, Chief Strategy Officer of DaVita International, and Chief of Staff to DaVita’s Group Chairman and CEO. Over the years with DaVita, Matt played an integral role in major strategic and operational issues globally including M&A, resource allocation, organizational design, and team culture.
Prior to DaVita, Matt worked in consulting at McKinsey & Company and ZS Associates, and in the pharmaceutical industry at Pfizer Inc. He has a bachelor’s degree with honors in Economics from Pitzer College (a member of the Claremont Colleges), a master’s degree in Quantitative Methods from Columbia University, and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business. Matt also served as a U.S. Fulbright Fellow, completing academic research in the Netherlands.
